Those are becoming rare. These days most use big bubble wrap.

What was your most recent online purchase?

My “new” refurbished notebook with all the bells and whistles. No costs for shipping – and I still had a 10% off coupon from that online-store. My old one had severe issues for months and died on the first, the ancient one I used interim was slow and unstable (too little RAM even with virtual and under Ubuntu!). Yes; we discussed the purchase and my husband fully agreed on the need for 32 GB RAM and a terabyte SSD. Came (in a box) wrapped in – as fuzzbucket said. ☺

Oh – the octacore CPU is fast enough to run DeepSeek on this machine. Offline. Still waiting for a decent Gui for that under Ubuntu.

Now waiting for a book (single purchase when my free prime was still valid), “Indian Ginseng” (large amount, cheaper that way – helps my husband to sleep) and some cat-food to qualify for free shipping.

Packing peanuts aside it’s nice not being on a leash.

years ago my dad ordered a special artist’s paintbrush from an art supply company. I was visiting when UPS dropped it off. It was in a huge 2 foot square box filled with packing peanuts, and in the bottom, was the little paintbrush…. (gotta love them packing peanuts! lol!)

But it’s OK for the shopaholic to shop unsupervised.

I bought some batteries but they weren’t included so I had to get some more.
