those “creepy” trees are Jupiter Horsecatchers, a species in the family Droseracaea, same as the Venus Flytrap plants.they’re rare, and many still believe they’re mythological, kind of the monsters or giants of the plant kingdom. but they do exist, and horses have been known to mysteriously disappear wherever these trees grow in their native habitat
