So Horace must live in Florida. I figured it out, because here in Florida, we have a rebellion among parents who are fighting the newest round of super-testing (alleged ‘school accountability testing’) that the state rushed into, dumping tons of tax dollars on yet another ‘educational consultant’ who will prove to be some pal of some higher up in the Governor’s office.-And the result of these online tests? Well, so far, so bad. The kids either can’t log in because the software wasn’t designed to handle so many users at once, or they start the test and get thrown off in the middle.-A number of parents have decided to pull their kids out of school in protest. So the kid is sent to school to sign in, and then is instructed to leave. In one case, a principal refused to release one student to the parent,and another parent actually called the cops.-So Sherlock is probably right. Horace’s neighbors kids might be a long time in passing any tests…
