My dad never had a rechargeable phone or a charger, and neither did I back then.
Funny thing that, about 30 years ago I had a house fire, started in the attic. Burned through the telephone wires for our land line first thing. I didn’t own a cell phone then. Good thing my neighbors were both close, friendly and observant.
