As much of a jerk as he is, for once Mamet seems to be the closest to the right answer of anyone here. If dogs and sheep and cows can talk, why not rabbits? And if it can talk, it can be reazoned with.
A fiend’s garden was getting eaten as fast as he could plant it. I put up an electric fence around it and assorted critters would sit around the edge and curse at it.
