Another classic example of why DT still has such a following… his inability to arrive at a conclusion without a month of repetitive activity is amusing if not also kind of sad. I always thought the artist could only draw rectangular shapes (case in point - DickTracy’s refrigerator-box like physique), but these dogs are somewhat rounded - wow! Even the DT comic has some suprises every now and then. So… is the whistle still supposed to be in Tracy’s mouth, or is it falling out? Hard to tell, I know the artist is usally really accruate with his drawings. Maybe a text box with an explanation would have helped - I love when the artist has to explain what he drew (ie - the voice scrambling device from earlier this year). Comics like these make me want to feed DickTracy a bad sandwich. But just a slice because not much else would fit in his small, mail-slot like mouth. Have a good weekend, DickTracy! Here is a dog meat sandwich for you.
Chester Gould was one of my cartoonist heroes, and I suppose I keep reading Tracy in hopes that it will someday return to its traditional-looking art. I don’t know if Mr. Locher is entirely involved in the drawing or maybe he has someone else doing much of it. Whatever the case, I’m not overjoyed with the appearance.

If my memory serves me correctly, we’ve been stuck in this time warp for 2 weeks? Reminds me of the Haunted House 1-month story interruption.

Morrow, the absurdity continues! I wish we had our little home back with our fellow magpies!!
I like how the SWAT guy’s gun changed from frame to frame (ugh!) and unfortunately Shirl(ey)’s mauling will be off screen!
