This explains the explosion. Pound for pound, gasoline pack more energy than TNT, and it’s way too volatile to handle. I wonder if Noll’s formula is any improvement on the stuff we so casually pour into our cars…

That is one freaky claw on Tess today.

My guess is that Jig Oil will get the perfume and Tess gets the Gasoline. Usually perfume smells better than Gas but what do I know?

I wonder what will happen if people’s vehicles end up running better on the perfume…H’mmm…exhaust fumes would smell better, LOL…seriously, Driller (or Tess) should notice a difference, if the formulas ARE switched, you’d think anyway…

I just don’t see how the spelling of character’s names can be changed during the course of the strip. The somewhat drastic changes in appearance can be explained by the fact that Locher is a poor artist, but even rudimentary proof-reading should reveal changes like “Angelorious” to “Angelglorious”

Well, at least the explosions make sense now. Except who’d be stupid enough to ignite stuff around fuel?

Tess said “Dick, it’s a perfect name!” Which one ? ANGEL ORIOUS or ANGEL GLORIOUS ? Yes, someone already pointed it out. So why repeat it? Simple! To remind the Praetorian Guard, those that read here, and (like Locher) and those that sneak “peeps” here (“Hello Mattie”), for yet AGAIN, we have another 101 level Author infraction. Don’t mind Mattie, in your world it’s this sort of proactive “repetition” that reminds you … he IS “Superb”!!

Little COMMENT? … lack of CONTENT !

Could it be “GLUG OIL”? A little ‘repressed’ memory poping out here? That’s the name used in the Pig E Bank hybrid soy bean fuel story of 2004. A company Piggy was trying to collect cash from, to make the new product, so to speak, “go away” !

Tigger, you’ve just blown Locher’s secret move wide open. He likes to think that he is writing some sort of a facinating mystery, a surprise for every one. But seldom succeeds and takes several weeks to get to the point that many are expecting. Congrats !

Sydney, as usual (note I didn’t say “always”), you are right on target! don’t think an hour passes that MAttie doesn’t check the posts to see if anyone is talking about him. When they don’t, he most likely stomps his feet and rips away at the lace lingere’.

I see the personal attacks can’t be resisted. That is pretty sad. Especially considering nobody is attacking those who choose to go back to their old ways. It just isn’t worth the time or effort to participate here. It’s like hanging out in the school yard as a 10 year old.

Yeah, the changed name is very troubling. I don’t see the resemblance between Cosgrove and Driller, though. My guess is that “IG” will turn out to be “BIG” once revealed.

I also feel that those labeling DL a “bad artist” haven’t followed the strip for very long. I’m not defending or criticizing, just pointing out that, like Gould, DL’s art has changed with time and reduced space. Check out DT from 1975-1977, for example. Not Chet’s finest work. I think anyone familiar with it would objectively agree.

Bassman Bob - I’m sorry that my schedule this week has gotten out of control, pal. Unexpectedly, I spent two hours meeting with senior staff today. I travel through this neck of the woods 3-4 times a year, so I owe you a couple of those $10 coffees, upon my return. Look me up if you travel Chicago-way!
