I guess the reason she doesn’t spray insecticide on the Monarchs is that she’d have to buy it first.Here’s a hint for Dale; If he tries to hold your hand, he pays. Although I’m surprised that anyone at work would want to have lunch with Dale, I’d think he’s still pretty toxic from his unpaid suspension.

We’ve planted milkweed around the house, and the Monarchs are having a great time. Monarch caterpillars eat only milkweed leaves, so the mommies are very careful about where they lay their eggs. Milkweed seed pods look like what comes out of your drier vent, but other than that the plants themselves are actually pretty.
someone asks you to lunch they usually are paying. But it is polite to offer to pay your share. getting your ma a unicycle ? trying to off mom ? Need the money ?
I wanted a butterfly garden in one of my raised beds (closest to the one at kitchen sink). Turns out many of the plants in a “butterfly garden” (like cottonwood) are illegal to inport into AZ because of laws made by cotton farmers. I planted all the ones I could find locally (including a native version of that) and I get quite a variety of swallowtails and “painted ladies” which are slightly smaller than monarchs..I love that Joy wants Ma to ride a unicycle but for herself, she’ll just “think” about an excercise.Burl is all about staying quiet today, and the sign is fitting for him, and Joy is a model for donuts. I’m glad not to be in an office where some vender is always providing that kind of “treats” (difficult to avoid being tempted).
This is a rerun…. One of my favorites… I tried it and it did work… .A friend who never picks up the bill invites us to lunch to celebrate his wifes B-Day.. .The bill came and then as per BURL’s plan….. I waited and waited until he finally reached for it and said….. “Let’s split this”…. ! ! !

My co-worker and I even discussed splitting it when we had excused ourselves for the second time to hit the can (lots of coffee). The client finally picked it up (at about 4pm; I think he wanted to avoid the rush-hour drive home).
As a woman in business, it was difficult for me to pay for a meal as many men were offended by a woman taking that initiative. When I dined with a client who was a man I would still want to pay
