A great big Saturday-Morning Good Morning to my fellow Crustwoodians… Dang! More of these folks breeding.I don’t think it’s soccer balls that make them less smart with every generation…it’s the tiny (and tainted) gene pool. Though y’know, the no-helmet theory does explain some things about Burl, dating back to his football days.
Marg! — Why are you still here? Go camping!!
Simpsonfan I second that. So very glad the strip isn’t in Smell-O-Vision.
x_Tech …um…. I’m confused…. you want help out where?I think where you are would be out of Crustwood….unless you’re not where I think.Though at the same time, we are all in Crustwood…oooh… now my head hurts.
I am suspecting, by today’s comic, that Julie really does have some friends named Brittany and Billy who either just got married, or just about to.
Ahh, weddings in Crustwood! While waiting for the newly wedded couple to come out of the church, Burl and Joy pocket as many of those little packets of rice that they can grab. They then can make a Spam and Rice casserole the next day.
I actually had to laugh at that! I had noticed Dave’s but would have said nothing because I mistype all the time. At my table in the grocery (yesterday) they had an entire display of all the hostess products and the actual deli had their own display of sugary pastries as well; I’m glad I took along my own (sweetened only with apples and raisons) or I might have been tempted. Since I needed a single yogurt I tried Dannon’s “Greek” with strawberries and one fresh banana (plenty of sugar without more in the pastry.
Aw Dave…. we liked it the first way… totally cracked me up when I read it in the wee hours, but I was way too sleepy to post.
AS for control Z – Sorry I left it out of some of my online explanations of copy/paste.
It’s often the first keystroke combo I teach when I tutor computer newbies…I call it the “Don’t Panic” button.
Seems like yesterday that you had to remember to save every few minutes and create back-up documents manually.
Then came the option to set Word to automatically save back-up copies, and a few years ago, major e-mail providers like Gmail and Hotmail started backing up your drafts every few minutes on their own.
Before those changes, it was amazingly easy to lose a days work on a document or a 6-paragraph e-mail ion one click….unless you were quick with control z.
Another thing you may wish to know is that Control Y puts back whatever you removed with control z, if, say, you meant to type shift z (as in Zebra) and accidentally erased your comment.
Control z= UNDOControl y = RE-DO.In this forum they both replace or remove a whole comment at once. In other programs, they work in stages, and allow varying numbers of steps backward. They also work in programs like Paint to remove or re-do changes in drawings — and usually you can step back several levels.
I don’t need to be told that knowlege is power. I think we know. :)
And Aces — my my my…is it warm in here or do you really know how to make a girl swoon?
Nonetheless, it makes me think of what you said about guests.I have never attacked anyone in a shower, for good or ill… so please forgive me for wondering whether she was overpowered by your obvious charms, or alarmed by the ….um…. allure of your proffered toothpick…
It was about midnight and we had just come in from skinny-dipping (I live on a lake) and I was too spent to proffer anything.
She was about ten years my junior and smitten. I guess I made her insatiable. What more can I say – except that I owe it at least in part to hydrogen peroxide. She adored my toenails. And stunningly white teeth. And…….
Everyone is too funny today! I am still watching baby hawks and they will soon be almost ready to try to fly. My little bird is ready to go up to have his evening soup. I am glad that I have none of those gadgets and would rather not think of them with the Pennys either. Dave, I did not find your first comment offensive either. One thing that I do not understand is use of dark colored nail polish (so ugly and sick looking-belongs in Crustwood)
A woman would not wash out a bra the same day she planned to wear it because you want to be gentle, but you wear a different one the day before so you HAVE already washed (not just rinsed) it. And Conny is the AUNT- Brittany and Billy are the soccor players who are engaged. All of that is quite clear.
As to whether any of us are just 17, I did not think so (and hope not); that would be embarrassing. Most of my grandchildren are older than that which should be apparent by my photo.

Please, Joy, please RINSE your bra! And I think Burl bounced a bowling ball on his head. And aren’t Brittany and Billy first cousins? Just asking.
Good morning to all.

x_Tech – Brittany and Billy are the soccer players.
Brittany is my cousin and her and Billy got married on Saturday, the day the comic came out. Just to answer everyone’s questions :)

Also, one of them attended U of I (Go Illini) and one attended Gonzaga.
