Good morning all. I’ve been over chatting at the Ithica site. Today’s DS is a sad commentary. I’m glad that for me it came at a time when I expected to be retiring anyway, and at least I own the house (taxes keep increasing on it tho’). I agree with Susan on Joy’s shirt, and Dave- most birds prefer one sex over the other. Cuddles knew that I was her mom (and would search me for shelter, but was an outrageous flirt with men (especially if they were young and attractive) but would not tolerate any disparaging remarks. A man could always get her attention by commenting on how pretty or smart she was (and she understood a lot). Once she took a nip of one who was silly enough to say “if you poop on me, I’ll kill you”). Not only was she toilet trained but considered that a threat and assault. In the vid I put of her on UTube she says “I have to practice” (after I told her to talk nicely to the camera) and goes on to say “I want to talk” with a laugh- she was quite a character! Fitzroy is probably tired of being compared to her and seeing all the art work around the house done of her, but he is a cute little guy (still not well toilet trained) and has learned that one useful phrase. He will be visiting his future room mates in July (I have willed him to my youngest son who has two eclectus parrots – his size).
