X_Tech … that newer prototype looks wonderful! But for the 4th of July we need the big outdoor dispenser jug… hopefully in red, white and blue…but if each one can’t be tricolor, then 2 of each color. What the heck… three of each so the main stand can have all three colors to match the cups.OK with you, Marg?(Sorry everybody else for discussing business…. but you’ll be glad when Jerry shows up in a Speedo on the Fourth!)
Can’t stay up and post as late as usual…being pressed into top secret one-day government service on Tuesday….must try to sleep earlier tonight…. I mean… er…. this morning. It’s in preparation for getting up day after tomorrow at my usual BEDtime…. then 16 hours with no communication except by carrier pigeon…. Mikie may know what I’m talking about….though it’s finished in Texas and in Crustwood, Illinois….
Burl’s advice to the class reminds me of the Brer Rabbit’s plea of Brer Fox, “Don’t throw me in the briar patch!”@Susan, you got me. What have we done here?
psst…. Mikie …the primary…. the Texas primary…. is over…. sshhh… I don’t want to give away my secret mission! X_Tech — what a great idea! I had so much trouble last time trying to coach them to fly out of that little slot, once the darn ballot box was locked.Cages! D’oh!And then we wouldn’t have to spray the ballots with Lysol…Glad it was at least some measure successful, Leaky… You do have a lifestyle and a reputation to maintain.OK, this is it…. Good Night All!
How did Burl make it to be Commander? Perhaps no one in the unit wanted the hassle of the job, so when Burl said, “Oh, I want to do that!” They all just kind of smirked and told him to go ahead?
Oh Susan- too funny! I was wondering what elections were going on as our primaries were ages ago and someone on my hawk chat said he has to work the polls today..And civil defense is perfect for the type of Burl personality- not GOOD at anything, but wanting to be in CHARGE. Back when I first moved here and they had a block watch, the president was one of those. You wouldn’t believe what HE wanted us all to do in preparation for the year 2000. . .
How did he get to be the civil defense commander. Crustwood is in trouble when a crisis hits with this man in charge. My big concern though of the day it leaky likes the way Burl fill out his shirt. Not sure about you Leaky

x-tech, I’d like to order some red, white, and blue Brain Bleach containers for the 4th of July. They’re sure to be big sellers.

Meanwhile…. mornin’ Crustwood!
Good ol’ Burl…. giving the boys ideas…. to the playground, you say?…oh noooo we wouldn’t want that happening.
You’re right, Leaky…. there’s no law against terminally stupid… so maybe we can put him away as a danger to himself and others.
Good to see you back again, BTW….I don’t hear any gloating this time…. hope it did go well….

And whatever you do, don’t call in a bomb threat because the building would have to be evacuated.

One branch of my family recently moved to Texas (son in Bell Helicopter, wife is court reporter); they like SW weather but not so much there.
