The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and the rotten ones don’t roll. Here’s a Mikie story. I had two great aunts—actually g-g-aunts—who lived in a house built by their parents in 1901. In the back hallway was an old GE reefer with the “works” on top. The hallway led to a bathroom off the back porch that had a toilet with the tank high on the wall. Made so much noise it scared me. But to the story. There was a 10W light bulb (Edison style) hanging from a cord in the back hall. They left it on all the time. When they died in 1962, that bulb was still there and still burning.
