Come on, Verla. Use some better euphemisms. The “handyman” “cleaning out your gutters” indeed. Still, it’s less obvious that the last time when the “plumber” came over to “check your pipes.” And this guy’s good. See how he’s even made an excuse to come back tomorrow? And Joy’s right. You shouldn’t be trying to do that yourself. But with worthless Jerry being neither handy nor precisely a man, there’s little else when the “handyman” can’t come over. .(Yes. Before I posted this, I bought a boatload of Acme Brain Bleach stock. Bwa-ha-ha!)
