My maternal grandfather lived for a while on the plantation used in the 1954 Elephant Walk movie; my mother was born in nearby Kandy, Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
I can’t remember when I last saw the movie, 50 years ago maybe! And my grandfather, being a forester rather than a planter wasn’t out there for very long, all my mothers other 7 siblings wee born in Ireland!. I think he was probably getting timber for the war effort.

Line your purse with plastic. I have got to tell my wife about this little trick.
