Um…. a tiny baby is supposed to read nearly 3 books a day….

I must have been rather slow, I guess.

being, you know about five years old

before I even started to learn to read.

Not as slow as the Pennys, or Dale, or Marlene, though……

I bet if you added up the words all four of them have read in their whole lives,

and subtracted all the recipes and celebrity gossip,

the rest wouldn’t be enough to make one book…

Well, maybe a picture book….

for one of those erudite infants.

Marlene’s been watching Dr. Oz again. Sounds like his level of credibility.

But isn’t the Bible and Reader’s Digest enough for everyone?

Burl’s comic book collection is likely immense……not that there’s anything wrong with that!

Every night when my Dad came home from work, I met him at the door with a book. He’d read to me while Mom finished dinner. I got another story at bedtime and as many more during the day as I could convince family to read.
