Burl, ever the gracious host, will suffer eating Bill’s portion.

So much work, having people for dinner!

Joy will ask Verl to bring something simple, like…

… oh…. how about a salad, and some nice fresh French bread.

Bill and Sue politely asked whether to bring anything…. expecting a “no”….

but she suggested some fancy shrimp appetizers.

The Pennys don’t eat hot vegetables…

so that leaves them providing the baked potatoes and dessert.

But you know, Joy still has to bleach those napkins,

and get out the fancy plastic cutlery that she washed after the last picnic.

And set the table…

and for steak, she might even use the good paper plates.

I’m just glad Joy and Burl found each other, so they don’t inflict their there-has-to-be-a-word-for-it on two other people.

There’s not enough bleach in the world to bring those napkins through the wash with her “intimates” unscathed. Oh, well. Maybe the guests will think it’s the shrimp appetizers.
