Little by little, step by step, almost without thinking (Penny’s, remember?), they’re moving in the appropriate direction. Toward a farm outbuilding. Specifically, a pig barn. (But boy, that’s one short car.)
What, I’ve seen sawdust used on carpets. Happened quite a few times at school I attended in South Bend. That’s probably the better time to use it, in fact. I do see it used on linoleum too, but really you COULD just mop it up.
We live in a stereotypical suburb, backyards abounding, yet I still see people set up their lawn chairs in the driveway to entertain. The one neighbor has a hoop out front, so they’re watching the kids. What’s wit’ the restoyouguyz???

I count 15 people, including Burl, Joy and Patty…. and the fellow standing at the buffet.
All sitting down to eat, along the roof of one car?
And none of them are exactly Nutrisystem spokesmodels….
it must be awfully cozy in there.
Actually, Burl and Joy might be about to get into the car, and eat in the back seat.
If Patty is smart, she’ll go grab a chair for herself….. but not there.
Almost anywhere else. Like… maybe in another county.

They must have picked up this idea on a trip to Wisconsin.
