    When I worked at Sears, 40some years ago, moms brought their kids in for ‘toughskin’ jeans.. i felt bad for the kids

    When the kid was pretty young, he was hot for expensive player branded clothes. I pointed out that he would be working for them, promoting them, but without pay, a slave, in fact. He lost interest. Worked for a bout a year.

    When my boys were young they wanted Mossimo tee shirts. At $30/pop, I refused. I must say I take a bit of satisfaction now when I point out the college admission scandal to them.
