With big brand names, the marked up prices are to pay the celebrities who endorse the brand.

When the kid was pretty young, he was hot for expensive player branded clothes. I pointed out that he would be working for them, promoting them, but without pay, a slave, in fact. He lost interest. Worked for a bout a year.

Timmy, it’s like one man drives a Porsche and another man drives a GMC.

When my boys were young they wanted Mossimo tee shirts. At $30/pop, I refused. I must say I take a bit of satisfaction now when I point out the college admission scandal to them.

Once again, everyone around them stares at them, which suggests that they’re very loud in public.

When my niece was young in her Nike logo stuff.. i would ask her what ‘nicky’ was, we laugh years later
