OK, I understand Mrs. Sheldrake’s frustration, at having their genuine oil paintings described as “reproductions.”
Â
However… I’m also having a hard time swallowing the idea that Mr. Sheldrake is the world’s highest paid storage company regional manager EVER…
and owns the original of Van Gogh’s arguably most famous work.. “The Starry Night.”
It would probably take at least a quarter of a billion dollars to persuade the Museum of Modern Art to give it up….
and yet, unpretentious folk that they are, the Sheldrakes just hang it casually over their mantel.
They’re not worried about candle flames, fireplace smoke, or raised glasses of red wine….
And it’s been kindly placed at a convenient height for Joy to walk over and feel the “genuine” bumpy texture with her canape smeared fingers.
What down-to-earth billionaires!
