Why does a supposedly educated writer/cartoonist use an imaginary word (“alright”) rather than the very real “all right”? Is it too much to ask that, while he entertains us, North use grammar and diction worthy of a grade-school pupil?

Next time, make sure the chickens are stuffed with cornbread, onions, celery, and corn. Then you get meat, grain, and vegetables—a balanced diet.
