Another part of what made the sinking of the Titanic so disastrous was that the maritime protocols of the time left the ship woefully unprepared to face such a situation, meaning hundreds died who could’ve been saved otherwise. It was realizing this in the investigation of the sinking afterwards that brought about many reforms to those practices that updated the maritime protocols to what they are today, so arguably good still came out of the Titanic’s sinking that may not have come about when it did had it not sunk.
Point is, if you plan to go back in future to change history involving the Titanic’s sinking, do consider the butterfly effect in the process.
