He does have a point on the governor side of things. In the US, if a lady is elected governor, the accustomed practice is to still refer to her as “governor.”
But I don’t think that’s done to be deliberately sexist, just that we Americans are so used to hearing “governor” for that post that saying it any other way seems odd to us.
Though we don’t have that many female governors either, so…
