Brian, just a couple of inches deep is all you need for the litter. You don’t have to change it every week, esp. if you scoop every day, only takes about 5 mins. I mix baking soda in with the litter to nuetralize the odor. I also use litter box liners and lay a sheet of newspaper in before I put the litter in. Only one of my cats is declawed. With the newspaper it prevents them from tearing through the liner.My boxes are in the basement.
Our female cats are neat and clean. Our one male cat is a mess when in the litter box! We need to keep a mat and then some for him. All kitties have “large” ears as their faces grow into their ears……..I believe that’ swhy Brian draws them this way. Love them!
