Somewhat related but also somewhat unrelated: I used to work in a group home with developmentally-disabled adults. I was reclined on the floor when one of the residents tried to pull one of his lame pranks and I asked him, “Are you trying to pull my leg?” He laughed and just grinned at me (he was otherwise nonverbal). Shortly after, he started actually pulling on my leg.
This was the day that he learned I wear a prosthesis on that leg.
