I would staple leaves on the trees, too. Except our weather has been like a seesaw, one week frigid / one week balmy. Our trees started to bloom during a recent warm period, and now the buds are covered in snow.
I miss summer, too Will! Here in Minnesota they predict school closing again – for about the 4th time already. I think we are weather wimps nowadays, schools rarely closed when I was little.
You can tell a winter scene was filmed in Hollywood when they leave the front door open. Anyone who ever experienced real winter would never do that! “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “The Santa Clause” are two offenders that come to mind… (And then there’s Tim Allen standing barefoot in the “snow”!)

He could come to the north east of England. Some of the trees are now in blossom early as it has been a lot warmer than usual.
