To prevent power blackouts that leave your machine discombobulated: You need a U.P.S. with the built in 120V inverter. That is Uninterruptible Power Supply. The smallish dry cell battery they come with eventually fails and people throw the whole thing out when all it needs is a new battery. Suggested replacement would be a 12V deep draw battery, a car battery wont do as it is designed for making a big push as in supplying cranking amps to an engine to start it. I believe a marine battery or two golf cart (6V) batteries in series, to make 12V, would have a lot more storage capacity for those hours long power cuts.
