Sometimes with small appliances, it’s best to turn them off then pull the plug! I always leave a light on inside when I leave the house so that if I don’t get home before nightfall, I won’t be entering a dark house.

Forgetfulness is a problem that provides its own solution. Once you forgot to pay your electricity bills

One time, I went outside and suddenly wondered if I’d forgotten to lock the door. Then I checked, and I had forgotten. So, it’s good to check. Just don’t make an obsession of it.

Is it really off? Yes, it is. Well, let’s switch it on and then off again, just to be sure sure sure. :D

This is me with the garage door. I have been known to turn around after driving 2 miles to go back and make sure I closed it.

As Kelliekatlady said, I would be halfway to work before I would think about it. Depending on what it was, I would think if it was worth being late for work.

Our coffee pot shuts off on it’s own.

I’m like this sometimes!

THese days we have very low power lights, like LED, so you can leave a light on without paying through the nose.

Don’t we all have these thoughts?

My bugaboo has been, if I cooked something on the stovetop for work, there’s lingering doubt whether I did turn off the element. I’d zip home on my break. I always did have it off, but even a 5% possibility is too much.

Modern days – less need to worry about the iron being left on,,,
