Mark: Mom, what's all this I've been hearing on the news about dad making a grab for Trendex? Mom: Your father's doing what he thinks is in the best interests of the firm, dear. Mark: I'll bet. It looks like another insane power play to me. Where is dad? I haven't been able to reach him at the office. Mom: He's holed up in a motel in Stamford until the deal goes through, dear. I tried to take him some soup, but your father thinks the corporate battleground is no place for spouses. The only women allowed in are beautiful young proteges. Mark: Hmm. Maybe I better go talk to him myself. Mom: Now, dear, those proteges will be very busy.
