Mike: "Setting: the White House. Nancy is sitting on Mr. T's lap...cut to Reagan looking pleased. J.J.: So how's the storybaord for the Reagan spot going, sport? Mike: Pretty well, I think...here's how it would go. We'd open on a shot of Reagan walking on a beach on a voice-over, he'd be talking about all he's done for blacks...first, he'd explain why he proposed tax exemptions for segregated schools. Then he'd defend his opposition to extending the voting rights act. We'll intercut this with shots of hardworking black people pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps. Finally, we cut to a shot of the president wading out into a crowd of cheering blacks. J.J.: A crowd of blacks cheering for Reagan? Mike: Right. J.J.: Who you going to use, convicts? Mike: Depends on the budget. Ideally, I'd like to shoot the whole thing in Grenada.
