Mark: "Bush now leads in the polls by over 30%...just like his father once did." And we're back once again with G.O.P. hopeful Governor George "Dubya" Bush! Governor, if there are any concerns at all about your candidacy, they seem to center around your "past". Are voters right to worry? Texas Governor George Bush Jr.: Not at all. I've already hired people to look into my past, and I'm clean as a whistle. Mark: Did I hear you right, governor? You've actually investigated yourself? Texas Governor George Bush Jr.: Twice. Once prior to each campaign. Turns out I never did a thing. Mark: Um... but if you never did a thing, wouldn't you already know it? Texas Governor George Bush Jr.: Theoretically. But it never hurts to check. Mark: Check what? Texas Governor George Bush Jr.: Whether I ever did any of the things I know I never did. Mark: But what things? George Bush: Can't say. Wouldn't be prudent. Texas Governor George Bush Jr.: Dad! Get off the line!
