Rick: Look, Jeff, a big ship number is good. It's great. You want the book out there. But the goal is sell-through. If your books don't move, they get remaindered, sold at a deep discount... or worse, they get returned. Returns are a big fail. Returns mean no one wants your book at any price! Jeff: Why does that appear to excite you? Rick: That's absurd. I've supported all your fantasies.
How can anyone tell when Rick is excited?
