A truly bizarre chain of “logic” you use to tie Trudeau (and slander his name) to your bizarre views of 9/11 coverage on TV – like he could know what would happen while he was away this week, when strips are usually submitted weeks in advance – and to manufacture controversy where none was otherwise to be found. NBC not observing a moment of silence on Today at the moment the first aircraft hit on 9-11 was something the network apologized for omitting, even though they did have lots of 9-11 coverage. However, unlike, say 11-11-11, the hour-day-month of the armistice that ended WWI, 9-11 observance is less formalized – especially since a case can be made using your logic regarding MSNBC’s excess coverage of 9-11, can be made that observing a generalized minute of silence draws excessive attention to a moment of infamy. After all, we don’t observe a moment of silence to commemorate the moment the bombing of Pearl Harbor began. Or the invasion of Poland..As for MSNBC’s coverage, no one made you watch it, did they? However, it could just as easily be viewed as educational instead of offensive for the many young people who have no direct memory of the day itself. As a former high school social studies teacher, I’d have been interested in that coverage for my students as something to capture the rawness of that day. But of course, your own obsessive search for fault with those whose views aren’t your own leads you to on one hand complain about inadequate coverage, and on the other, complain about excess – when neither really means anything outside your twisted world view..Might be time to grow up, think for yourself, and stop parroting Reich-wing talking points .

My local paper says that Doonesbury is not being printed this week because Trudeau is on vacation – hence the repeat.

Better check your date, Put-y’all. You’re repeating yesterday’s right-wing propaganda today. Did you miss today’s memo?
