Zonker: So how'd you make out with the fameux, Marcus. Cop any bon mots? Mark: Are you kidding me? Have you seen the size of the bouncers here? Zonker: Well, I'd love to stay and help out, but as you can plainly see I'm hot to trot! Mark: Hey, who am I to keep a man from his destiny? Zonker: I knew you'd understand. Look, if things work out, I'll call you from Hollywood. Mark: Well, I should hope so, man. Zonker: You've been a good friend, Mark! Both you and... you and... Mark: Mike. I"ll tell him you said so.
Thank goodness disco had only one more year to be popular, it was so one dimensional, banal and insipid. For Pete’s sake, nearly every song was about dancing, I’m surprised it didn’t peter out sooner. But then we did a lot of things in the 70’s that didn’t make sense. I stuck to rock and roll and watched Led Zeppelin implode, but it was still way better than disco.
