Reporter: Vice-President Bush, do you think the new estate laws have contributed to the current prep explosion? Bush: Gosh, I don't think so. In what way? Reporter: Well, sir, when old preps die off, the new tax laws now allow baby preppies to retain their family fortunes intact. Isn't this just one more break for the well-heeled? Bush: Ladies and gentlemen, I have only one thing to say to you on the subject: the greatest prep of them all, F. Scott Fitzgerald, died virtually penniless. Reporter: Um... your point being, sir? Bush: Never again.
All the screaming about the ‘Death Tax’, but it only applies to an estate over $5,430,000 in 2015. Not likely to apply to most of the 99%, eh?
