Zonker wants to help raise a child that isn’t afraid to play with electrical outlets.

JJ is very narrow minded for an artist.

I don’t necessarily see the problem here. Zonker is with her. He didn’t just set up a ladder and let her climb up it without supervision. He is addressing the baby’s curiosity about something she saw, which seems like a completely appropriate response. He’s not trying to send her after the mouse.

The last panel works as a “Garfield” punchline.

And obviously the Zonker approach worked, since Alex ended up at Harvard…
