Ahhh, the “invisible woman”. This is soooo very true. I was at a store, and a man about my age, was at the door at the same time. He did not open it for me, so fine….I went in. Two seconds later there comes along a young female, well dressed, tall drink of water. That same guy waited for HER to get to the door and held it opened for her. Being the brave woman that I am, I asked him why he held the door for her and I was ignored? He just looked at me and walked away. I told his retreating backside that I was sorry I didn’t meet his standards for the day.

“Jim, how’d you meet her?” Uh-oh.

I’m enjoying this storyline more because I know that Garry Trudeau is still married to his original wife (as I am). But he obviously based this chapter on keen observation of other men.

So, now we have a “little cookie” in the White House. GBT, once again, was prescient.

Weren’t both those cads deserted by their first trophy wives? Didn’t they both go through a string of them thereafter? If so, serves ‘em both right! But please say one way or t’other.
