This has always bothered me about church-goers. Many of them read the Bible and follow the Ten Commandments, only to blindly support whichever Republican is running.
“Obama says he’s Christian? Lies, God knows his heart!” “Trump said ‘God bless’? Hallelujah, it’s a miracle! A Godly man in office!”
I should point out, however, that many Christians are more discerning than that, and don’t actually follow authority blindly. I know many of these Christians personally, you just don’t see them represented in the media.
No group of people all feel the same way, even within the constraints of religion.
