June: What's everyone's favorite kind of food? Patrick: Mexican! Penny: Italian! Norman: Chinese! How about you, Dad? What's your favorite kind of food? Ralph: State fair. Norman: State fair food? Ralph: I can still taste those deep fried Twinkies!
Texas State Fair, capital of all things fried. This year, one vendor’s taking a Southern staple and making it even more Southern: fried biscuit and gravy. Take a biscuit, inject cream gravy, roll in peppered batter, fry. I’ll be trying that one.
