Ralph: What's an aviary?
June: It's an enclosed, walk-through exhibit where you can see rare and exotic birds flying all around you! Let's go inside! Wasn't that fun?

I once toured a specialized aviary of nothing but various species of hummingbirds. One of them was fascinated by the shiny red shutter button on my camera and followed me through the entire exhibit.
If you’re actually looking up at the birds, you’re much less likely to be under them when you crap on you.On the other hand, I was at an outdoor zoo, not an aviary, in San Antonio, when a passing pigeon hit me in the shoulder with an aerial bomb during a flyby.
This happened to me after someone dropped something heavy in the aviary and all the birds simultaneously evacuated their bowels and took flight. One of the zoo keepers was nice enough to hose us off.
