Penny: Knock knock! Ralph: Who's there? Penny: Banana! Ralph: Banana who? Penny: Um... Don't cry! It's just a joke! Ha ha ha ha! Ralph: She definitely inherited your sense of humor!
That’s not the way that one goes. The way I remember it is like this: Knock knock! Who’s there. Banana who? Banana is repeated until the person says “Orange.” “Orange who?” “Orange you glad I didn’t say banana this time?” Also, for the one with “Don’t cry. It’s only a joke,” it’s “Knock knock.” “Who’s there?” “Boo.” “Boo who?”
