After an article about road rage was in the local paper (Orlando, FL.) a letter to the editor explained road rage. It’s because things prevented him from a smooth trip. These included stop signs & traffic lihts along with teh road construction, other drivers etc. Nuts are all over the place.
I lived in south Florida for a few years; that is where the worst drivers are. Old retired people from New York who never drove before! Cut you off and flip you off!
I was in Austin for a meeting once. Someone from California said, “What you have heard about California drivers is true – but Austin’s worse.” It is just that you should never signal a lane change in Austin. If you do, someone a quarter mile back will burn rubber trying to cut you off.

This is known as the “Texas mentality” when it comes to driving.

The worst drivers usually have guns with them. I give them all the room they want and stay far away.
