speaking of doughnuts, today is $2 Chocolate Glazed dozen (with the purchase of another dozen) at Krispy Kreme (https://www.krispykreme.com/promos/chocolateglaze?fbclid=IwAR0bh_xmaSG72mSM7r7BcAE1Xw9l2ua1wKK1u6KdJbiQ5zpHNkK-CBoZugM)
There’s a youtube of a boy showing how to survive winter in the forest in Finland. “You’re in the forest and you’re hungry. What do you do?” He takes out his phone and calls pizza delivery. (search for “kirikou winter survival”)
When I lived in Idaho, there was a bakery where, if I got the about 4:30 am, I could buy unglazed apple fritters. Any later and there was a 1/4" of sugar glazing on everything.
Way back when I was a student on the way home from Fri/Sat parties we used to hit the bakeries around 3:30/4:30 am, just around the time the donuts were coming out of the fryer. Yum.
