A little late to worry about the tree, it started dying when it was removed from it’s roots.

Unless you either buy a live tree, or go to one of the cut it yourself farms, the trees you buy from lots in the city, supermarkets, etc. were cut last winter and kept in cold storage lockers for almost a year. It is amazing that they don’t “die” earlier in the season, especially when people start buying them in mid November.

Get a grip! Buy an artificial tree and save yourself all the faux angst. . .

An artificial tree has its benefits! A lot less messy, does not need water, is reusable year after year (have had mine for at least 20 years) and you are doing conservation a favor, although I realize they have tree farms now. But it’s still nice to know you are helping.

Watching a tree slowly die in your living room is not a great way to celebrate Christmas.
