I used to have bosses like that. The correct response is “I just put in x hours blowing up the pool because you wanted to go swimming. Now you’re going swimming if I have to tie lead weights to you!”
Drabble, drain the pool, take the air out of the ball and animal float and next time they want to go tell them how to do it , they are certainly old enough to know and this way you aren’t killing yourself for nothing.

When I was a kid our canister vacuum had an output and we had an adapter for blow-up balls, pools, etc.
