NHL starts in 13 days. No exhibitions. Each team can carry 3 goalies, 20 skaters and a practice squad of an unknown number at present. Teams that did not make the playoffs last year have about 1 week more time to prepare. Northern Division (All Canadian Teams) of 7 teams, other divisions 8 each. 56 game season, all intradivisional. Everyone plays every other team in the division 8 times except North where they play 9 or 10 times. Top 4 in each division make playoffs. Rounds 1 & 2 are for division title. Round 3; remaining teams are seeded and play 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3, Round 4 is the Cup Final. All rounds best of 7. 2010 – 2022 the Kraken arrive.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year; depending on who you are.

Hopefully, it will be a normal season?

Always been my first marker that the new year is truly on the way in. Followed by Daytona speed week.

And only 86 days till we’re all Irishing with green beer!!!

And when we ignore all comments unrelated to baseball, it is only the pitchers and catchers who are reporting to spring training.

ONLY 30 DAYS UNTIL… well, you know.

Yea baseball season, where I MIGHT see 4 games that were televised, like last season and none were my team.
