That’s the sad truth for many Americans: that the lottery is their plan for future financial security.

Clearly, Len can’t do math—the statistical probability that you win big at the lottery is, if I recall correctly, around a million to one, no exaggeration.

And it’s obviously by design, because the lotto-folks want you to be paying them, not the other way around.

My dad played the lottery till the day he died and had nothing to show for it. As for myself ,if the spirit moves me…I might indulge in scratch-offs. (ꆤ⍸ꆤ)

It always amazes me how little money governments and their agencies think people can live on. Old Age Pension, even with a supplement? Minimum wage? Disability? But gazmillions are spent on “programs” that a) benefit the rich or b) make them feel good. Sorry for the rant – I have a relative trying to get by on disability.

There is a REASON the various lotteries are also known as “Red-Neck Retirement Plans”.

You don’t have to have a degree in “statistical Analysis” to understand that any lottery is a fool’s game.

Gambling of ANY SORT is a fool’s game – there is a reason for calling any gambling hall or casino a “permission to mint money scheme”.

You have to be absolutely and totally incompetent to lose money running a casino, where all the “games” favor the “house”!
