Kind of hard to get plantar fasciitis if you live a barefoot lifestyle. The overly structured shoes we wear today is the usual culprit due to their atrophying effect on the foot muscles. But the other choice is to go barefoot and suffer cuts, bruises, broken bones and of course parasites. Not much of a decision. I did switch to minimalist shoes for my daily runs and when I retired for the 3rd time and got rid of my work boots, I went exclusively to flip-flops and slowly but surely my plantar fasciitis has been going away. I still wear shoes in public though because nobody wants to look at a 70-year-old man’s feet. Ha!

The bigger the foot, the bigger the hurt! Right, Big Foot? Also, the bigger the podiatrist’s bill!
