The creature sure is spiffy And quick to bear defenses Reacting in a jiffyâ I wonder how it senses? I wonât go chase that thought down For I do realize Whatâs common here in Endtown Are beasts with lots of eyes! Theyâve got âem tucked in places You might think rather strange The monster canât make faces But plague can sure make change! =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum
The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover, it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, Iâll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you canât pay with PayPal, send payment to:Aaron NeatheryPO Box 920558Houston, TX 77292And, just so you know, Iâm completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)
Iâm starting to tune in to the general vibe of Endtown. Itâs not about good vs evil. Itâs about a Wounded Land â an environment and its people who, by and large, are hurt and frightened and angry. The worldâs gotten all screwed up and needs to be untangled and unknotted. Taking the wider view, Hollyâs clear-sighted solution to this latest conflict is a better approach than a blaster. Thereâs more future in it. In a similar way, Wallyâs reluctance to kill, even the respect for life shown by Al and Gustine, is where the real hope lies for survival of everyone â mutants, monsters and topsiders.
By the way, I drew a nifty little picture of Wally and Holly in a loverâs cuddle, âcause I adore them so much. Go to the Endtown Underground site at http://s4.zetaboards.com/Endtown/topic/8973842/2/
Apparently those claw-like things are its eyes and not claws. Theyâre not built to grasp, and all the grasping has been done by the stalks wrapping around things. Theyâre angled in a way that shows theyâre âlookingâ at Wally, Holly, and the bear, while setting them down.
That poor teddybear doesnât look very happyâŠCanât help wondering if thatâs a little âlove heartâ I see in the first panel, just below the teddyâs earâŠ
