This seems like an awfully inefficient means of spreading out for a search. Why not have each ditto go out separately so that not only can they cover more ground, but are nearly invisible to the eye, and then come back and gather the other dittos to report with a line leading between the two of them once they find her?

    Life On the O Queen"

to the tune of Life in the Fast Lane He was a strange-thinking man He had taken the gang in But he last lost a vicious kitty She had a gun, and she wanted a run-in To pay back those who’d give her pity She had a nasty reputation as a cruel cat Called herself brilliant — but she wasn’t all that They had one thing in common — they were not quite sane They were slapped-in captains, and the gang was in for pain Life on the O. Queen Surely makes you lose your grip Are you with me so far? Eager for action, and hot to control The cat that they sought was out on a roll She knew all the control rooms, she spoke all the commands She took over the airship, and she furthered her plans There were troops made of dittos Flat as a plate She might never see them coming But they might find her too late Out in the hallways Her weapon in hand She pretended not to notice She’s addicted to command, and living Life on the O. Queen Surely she could do some harm Life on the O. Queen Someone might buy the farm Life on the O. Queen, oh no Blown out the side door Falling head-first Poor Holly and her Wally But then Petey got the worst He said “Listen, ‘captain’! You nearly made us die!” Wally, somewhat more direct Simply popped him in the eye Marx said, “What was that for? You don’t understand!” Wally said “You tried to kill us!” But Marx had some thing in hand Then he whispered to his dittos And he threw them on the floor They formed a troop To find the wildcat before She ended Life on the O. Queen Surely she could do some harm Life on the O. Queen Someone might buy the farm Life on the O. Queen, oh no =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum Charter member of the Consortium to get Aaron a Tablet

I would think that the group of ne’er do wells that came after Al (8/10-11/2009) would be better for this purpose, but we’ll see how well these little “Star Trek insignia” guys do.

@Night-Gaunt49Just found your post from last night“You are free to read or ignore what you want. We won’t dictate to you if you don’t dictate to us—-fair?”I knew I was going out on a limb yesterday, but this group has become so important to me over the last year that I felt the risk was worth it. I apologize from the bottom of my heart to anyone who felt that my comments yesterday were in any way an attempt to dictate anything to anyone. They were only ever intended as a sincere request for people to consider. I fully respect everyone’s right to comment as they see fit. I had merely hoped a note of concern might have struck a chord with others who likewise value this special environment. Again I most sincerely apologize and assure you that I won’t mention the subject in question again.

Marx knows more than everyone else in the ship. That doesn’t make him crazy, just harder to predict. Flask’s the one willing to sacrifice the ship and party for revenge.

The dittoes are even performing a wonderful little Dress Right with a salute. Forward, arms! I don’t think AM is saluting, I think he’s giving the rooster sign.

Air Force has the same no hat, no salute rule. In the AF, if your arm is in a cast/sling or if you have a doctor’s note saying you cannot use your right arm/shoulder, you just don’t salute and offer a pleasantry instead. . .with the obligatory “sir.”

There is probably a minimum threshold level of dittos neccessary for intellegent behavior. I get the impression that dittos are a type of “hive mind” with very limited individual awareness.

Honestly, I haven’t met a more compassionate group than this one! ;) Unless someone comes along and starts degrading the strip or speaking maliciously about certain people/comments, I certainly don’t take anyone’s comments personal! Everyone has a right to their opinion, and our experiences make us all see, observe, and understand things differently from each other. That’s what makes us all unique. And that’s what makes this group so special! I’d go to bat for any of you, any day! :) Blessings always!

In the past 24 hours, Linda has been captured, beaten, brain-blasted, mutated, betrayed by her own people, forbidden to ever see her son again, forced to join her enemies, captured again by a huge flying frigate, confronted with a madman who could fly and draw in the air, and fed the best meal in her life. She has a lot to digest right now.

Don’t know. Wally used to have a backpack and Holly stowed away in it to leave Endtown and be with Wally, when he got chosen for this mission. I don’t remember when the side slung shoulder bag came in.

Think about it gang…a set of ENDTOWN mugs with each character on them. Collect the set. And everytime you have your coffee, tea, hot milk, coco, Ovaltine or even Dram of Scotch, you’ll know you’re supporting Aaron and his ENDTOWN. :O) What do you think?

He gets the bag in the Sept. 6 strip, where it’s referred to as a “supply bag”. Probably mostly just has vitamin cake and water. Maybe a compass, and the signaler for opening the doorway back to Endtown at mission end. Just speculating, though.

The bag was a holster of sorts for his gun. Flask issued it to him when they were preparing to leave Endtown.

POV. I first saw the ditto squad as the Energy Star logo that appears on air conditioning equipment, especially since I owned a HVAC contracting company for a few years until I went off a roof in downtown Houston, and saw at the Underground Aaron N. did an ad for an HVAC company in Austin. Also, I seem to recall an animation that included a squad of stars marching.

I like Star Trek a lot but I am a Star Wars fan to the bone. I even have a blog devoted to it. Nothing fancy, just a place I can go to. Friends like it and I update daily.
