If there was any doubt that our topsider was female, it has been removed by her answer that “I’m fine….” to Wally asking if he was crying. Wally is such a natural charmer that this topsider might ask to have her suit removed in her sleep.
She’s anything but fine. Her “lifeline” back to the lab has been broken, and she doesn’t know if it was done deliberately by a lab tech or if the lab has been destroyed. It’s even worse for her if her lab colleagues were friends as well.
It remains to be seen whether her little tablet device is useless now, or only contains limited information in its own memory.
Going back to Wednesday, that squiggle on the topsider’s antenna sure looks like the squiggles preceding Chic’s torture and the mad doctor’s disappearance…
No one has mentioned it before, but I am wondering if Dr. Amesworth is actually the daughter (and a scientist as well) of the scientist who discovered Amesworth radiation. (Just a guess.)
She seems too intrigued by things that are going on and I would guess that the actual discoverer of Amesworth radiation might either have felt horrible guilt about what the discovery brought about (like Einstein was dismayed by the idea of his theories bringing about the atomic bomb) and possibly not being in the mood to be a person that just was interested in exploring the nightmare, or perhaps the discoverer was no longer around because he/she succumbed to the radiation ala Marie Curie.

Maybe she can find a world close to her own, close enough that she can’t tell the difference. (Hell with that. Go for a world where she can take off the suit.)
Looking at the screen on her device, it would seem they now have two choices – go east or go west. Forward it blocked and they can’t go back. Can she get them back to Eden?
